Under the general direction of the Executive Director, this position is accountable for the successful management and leadership of the overall YMCA Child Care at the Fairport Baptist Home.  This includes primary responsibility for the child care center, daily program and administrative operations, including the education, health, welfare, and safety of the children enrolled in the child care center.   Greets everyone by using names whenever possible; extends thanks whenever appropriate; makes relationship building the number one priority at all times. The position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed.

Educational Background: 
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary education or a bachelor’s degree in a related field and significant child care experience necessary.
Skills/Experience: 
  • This position requires a minimum of five years’ experience.  
  • This experience should include demonstrated successful knowledge and proficiency in child care service programs.   
  • Strong skills in teamwork, writing, and communication required.   
  • The incumbent must meet all OCFS requirements for Center Director.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $43,264.00 - $46,000.00
