The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of YMCA experience including leading multiple program areas; hiring, directing, and motivating staff; building relationships with members, volunteers, and community leaders; developing and adhering to a budget; and providing staff support for annual support campaigns. Located 25 minutes North of Boston, Massachusetts, the Torigian YMCA has a $5.0 million budget, an annual campaign goal of $65,000, and operates in a state of the art facility with an indoor and outdoor pool. This Y has a strong full-service child care center at the main facility which includes both Early Learning and After School programs. The branch also operates an outstanding summer day camp. Other programs are also driven by strong aquatic programs, health and wellness programs and strong community support for its membership.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops and directs employees and volunteers. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
- Develops, manages, and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and submits reports on current operations.
- Establishes with the leadership team long range plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall YMCA objectives.
- Provides staff leadership for annual support campaign.
- Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
- Serves as a member of YMCA leadership team and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
- Three or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other not-for-profit agency.
- Ability to direct assigned operations including volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, and program development.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred.
- Requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse; CPR; First Aid; AED; and orientation.
Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00
