We are seeking a seasoned and technical leader as the District Facility Director of our Dr. P. Phillip Y.
The District Facility Director provides leadership and management of building facilities and property maintenance of multiple Family Centers property. The Facility Director is a "hands on" role. S/he will support member participation and retention through the upkeep and enhancement of the Family Center in order to achieve strategic goals and provide outstanding customer service to all members. Prior experience working in the hospitality field, health club or related environment preferred.
- The incumbent will manage overall facility and property maintenance, including planning, developing, and following a preventative maintenance schedule. S/he will ensure proper implementation of facility schedules and procedures to provide maximum opportunities for member/staff connections.
- This individual will need to collaborate and work effectively with all departments to achieve desired results. S/he will develop a first class housekeeping/custodial schedule to ensure maximum comfort and cleanliness of the Family Center at all times.
- The incumbent lead housekeeping and custodial staff in implementing the general cleaning plan of the facility. S/he will be "hands on" in this role, and need to perform basic to complex maintenance duties to ensure the building equipment and property are in good operating condition, including conducting minor electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC repairs, equipment repairs, and painting.
- This individual will also be responsible for contracting with outside vendors to perform major repairs as needed, ensuring licensure is accurate. S/he will request and review vendor bids, and recommend selection of contractors. S/he oversee all contractors that work in the facility and grounds.
- This individual must collaborate with Family Center department leads to complete all work orders, special projects and other maintenance needs. S/he will also work closely with the Aquatics Director and Executive Director on regularly scheduled pool inspections to ensure proper and efficient working order at all times.
- The Facility Director monitors daily operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA of Central Florida health and safety standards and policies. S/he resolves any safety maintenance concerns immediately.
- The incumbent must maintain compliance with required documentation of MSDS manual and all OSHA standards.
- This individual must remain knowledgeable of all safety and risk management procedures and respond appropriately as trained in emergency situations. S/he will coordinate annual building and fire inspections.
- The Facility Director may also be required to pick up supplies from local vendors as needed. S/he assists with deliveries and ensures shipments are transported to the appropriate areas.
To be successful, you must meet education, training and experience requirements, and you must be able to demonstrate some critical knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in management of facilities, buildings and/or grounds required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in staff supervision and leadership required.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience and responsibility in building maintenance, grounds keeping and/or general repair required.
- Additional training and/or certification in HVAC, plumbing or electrical desired.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required within six months of hire.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 60 days of hire.

- Must be willing to travel within Central Florida. Must have valid Florida driver license.
