This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Senior Executive Director of Youth Development will change the lives of families across the Omaha metro area by leading our community outreach and Early Learning programs and developing our team.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Leads association-wide youth development programming and is seen as a content area expert within the community.
- Acts as a resource to branch teams and leads Youth Achievement and Early Learning branches. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and supervises staff and volunteers as needed.
- Directs strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan.
- Leads annual budget development, including grant and fundraising, for the team and provides monthly review and action planning with department leaders.
- Assures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and grant requirements as they relate to program areas. Maintains proper records/department files.
- Develops, implements, and manages operating and training plans to ensure high quality programming for the YMCA.
- Expands program within the community by fostering current and developing new relationships.
- Ensures assigned program facilities and equipment are maintained to support healthy living.
- Serves as a member of YMCA leadership team and supports overall objectives of the YMCA.
- Actively participates in branch, department and association staff meetings and/or trainings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree required, M.S. in education preferred
Skills/Experience:
- Qualified to meet Director requirements set forth by NE and IA state licensing regulations
- At least 5 years supervisory experience leading and developing individuals and teams
- Documented success of youth development program quality and revenue growth
- Experience developing and delivering programs and staff training
- Excellent computer skills (word, excel, outlook, publisher) and experience with data collection and evaluation preferred
- Demonstrated history of fostering collaborations with community organizations
- Complete within 30 days of hire: YMCA culture and program, Child Abuse Prevention and CPR/First Aid/Oxygen training (provided by YMCA)
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check.

Compensation/Benefits:
Salary:$68,451.00 - $79,745.00
