We are on the search for the next great leader of our marketing and development team!!!

Your main role will be to provide strategic leadership to position the Y as a Top 5 community impact organization. You’ll be responsible for the strategic process and team of professionals that advance stakeholder relations and an agency-wide culture of philanthropy through fundraising, marketing, communications, volunteerism, and community relations. Reporting directly to the CEO, we’ll be counting on your experience and ingenuity on the senior leadership team. As a member of this high performing team, you will be working closely with our operations, employee development, and finance leaders to further the Y’s community-based mission.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develops strategies that drive our fundraising and marketing efforts, monitoring progress and achieving our goal to become a top 5 community impact organization.
  • Serves as a member of our Senior Leadership Team, guiding organizational goals to achieve our community-based strategic plan.
  • Develops overall strategy to lead the fund development and marketing teams, instilling a culture of philanthropy and story-telling throughout our organization.
  • Directly leads marketing and fund development teams including hiring, development and performance review as well as supporting volunteers.
  • Ensures the story of the YMCA is told to advance operational and fund development goals.
  • Develops processes and is actively involved in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting capital and other major gift prospects.
  • Develops, monitors and administers assigned annual budget and maintains a positive fiscal position.
  • Leads public relations efforts, cultivating and maintaining partnerships with local media, community partners and constituents, tracking progress.
  • Develops effective working relationships with service groups, community organizations and companies. Makes presentations about the YMCA.
  • Provides support and leadership for committees and task forces as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in marketing, non-profit management or related field, masters preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 5 years professional experience in marketing, fundraising and/or sales
  • Demonstrated success in creating and implementing marketing & communications, fundraising &/or equivalent plans for a multi-million dollar organization
  • Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard marketing and business software
  • Demonstrated success with interpersonal, public relations, fundraising and/or communications skills, including the ability to make presentations and handle media inquiries
  • Complete within 30 days of hire: YMCA Brand, Cause & Culture, Child Abuse Prevention, and other safety training
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check

Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $84,195.00 - $98,087.00
