Digital Product Management Fellow

The Product Management team plans and manages digital products such as campaign websites or mobile apps through the product development life cycle from conception to marketing, launch, and beyond. The fellowship will provide the opportunity to learn about the product/project management process and what goes into making a web product successful.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assisting with planning new websites and other digital products, including documentation, user testing, quality assurance, reporting, and project team meetings
  • Maintaining existing websites, e.g. migrating existing sites to Drupal, helping staff and volunteers with troubleshooting or posting content via our content management system, or creating sitemaps and user accounts
  • Maintaining internal team website and product roadmap
  • Providing training and assistance to staff on using our content management system and updating our documentation for authors
  • Researching new web technologies, platforms, and products; organizing and compiling findings
  • Pulling and compiling analytics, requesting other data from the social and digital engagement teams; analyzing and summarizing qualitative and quantitative survey results
  • Other tasks as assigned and day-to-day support for Digital Product Team and other Digital Strategies staff as needed
  • Guided professional development to build your skill set, including basic knowledge of project management tasks, office communication skills (including writing and presenting), digital literacy, and more
Educational Background: 
Current college student or recent graduate
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including familiarity with qualitative or quantitative research methods and strong internet search skills
  • Ability to work independently, good time management
  • Closely follows emerging web, technology, and social media trends
  • Familiarity with Gmail, Google Drive, Analytics, and other Google tools is helpful but not required
  • Experience publishing content on the web (via a blog, website, social media channels, Tumblr, Medium, etc.) is also helpful
Compensation/Benefits: 

Sierra Club is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization. Sierra Club employees are not eligible to participate in the Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.  Sierra Club does not sponsor H1B visas.
