Join our thriving Hampshire Regional YMCA in beautiful Western Massachusetts as a full time Gymnastics Director. The director works with our leadership team to coordinate all activities related to the gymnastic program, including leading our competitive YMCA team. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The Gymnastics Director is primarily responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the Gymnastics Team and recreational program in accordance with the mission, purposes and policies of the YMCA, under the supervision of the Operations Director.
  • Must be able to delegate, supervise, and direct program staff to accomplish the association’s short and long-term goals.
  • Additional responsibilities include recruiting, providing orientation, training and supervising all staff, both paid and volunteer, related to his/her area of responsibility.
  • They will support the youth and gymnastic department with staff supervision, administration and class instruction as needed. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • The Gymnastics Director will provide leadership for the gymnastics program including participant and community relations, curriculum development, direct instruction of participants, overseeing coaching and teaching staff and maintaining safety.
  • A minimum of 3 years gymnastics instruction and lesson planning is a must. Must possess strong interpersonal skills; including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with parents, staff and participants.  
  • The ability to teach a variety of learners using appropriate instructional styles, and a passion for gymnastics is a must for this position.
