Must have a strong background in aquatics and excellent leadership skills with the supervision of daily duties relating to an indoor pool. Duties include staff supervision, teaching, proper pool chemistry, scheduling of facility and safety requirements. Responsibilities include all aspects of the aquatic program including developing, coordinating and implementation of all programs, fiscal management and budget processes, and customer service.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Oversee and coordinate all functions of Swim Lessons.
  • Prepare and oversee all scheduling of lifeguards
  • Share in the supervision of all aquatic staff & maintaining pool & equipment
  • Lifeguard and instruct classes.
  • Assist in the development and monthly evaluation of the aquatic department budget.
  • Attend aquatic meetings and trainings
  • Excellent Member Service
  • Commitment to character and leadership development
Educational Background: 
Four-year degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Background in all areas of aquatics with a strong experience acting in the role of a lifeguard and swim instructor.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the supervision of daily duties relating to an indoor pool.
  • Must have computer skills and must have the abilities to learn new programs quickly.
  • REQUIRED: Current YMCA (preferred) or Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Including CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen and current YMCA (preferred) or Red Cross Swim Instructor Certification
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $31,000.00 - $33,000.00
