Help the North Canton YMCA Gymnastics Center make a positive impact through dance, cheer, and progressive gymnastic programs!


The North Canton YMCA Gymnastics Center is looking for a new program director to join the team and support the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Associate Gymnastics Director will direct all aspects of the dance, cheer, and progressive gymnastics program. The ideal canidate will actively lead the dance, cheer, and gymnastics staff and be able to build positive relationships and engage with members and participants. The associate director will need to be available to work Monday thru Friday, afternoon and evenings, and some weekend hours.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Directs all aspects of the Dance, Cheer, and Progressive gymnastics programs
  • Markets, organizes, and develops new programs within the department
  • Monitors and participates in the budgeting process
  • Actively leads the Dance, Cheer, and Gymnastics staff
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3-5 years related experience preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Sports Management or related field
  • Strong understanding of communication and organizational skills
  • Candidate must embrace and believe in the 6 Pillars of Character (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, & Citizenship)
  • Must be able to build positive relationships and engage with members and participants
