With the guidance and direction of the Sr. Director of Member Experience, the Health and Welllness Director administers, supports and grows the department including personal training , group exercise, wellness center programs and service and community outreach. This is a Sunday through Thursday position.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Create, develop and maintain a Personal Training system that focuses on PT sales, revenue growth and improving member retention.
  • Meet or exceed personal training revenue goals with quality, certified personal trainers who regularly help members achieve their fitness and health goal 
  • Design and implement the schedule of Group  Exercise programming to best serve our membership demographic, making format or instructor changes when necessary. Actively recruit new, fresh group exercise instructors to continually infuse innovation into the schedule.
  • Ensure that the group exercise schedule is accurate, and that classes are running as scheduled with limited interruption. The director will assist in arranging for coverage of instructors who cannot teach, and will lead said classes when no other instructor is available.
  • Supervise the wellness floor staff, and ensure that they are delivering high-quality service by interacting with members, developing relationships, and helping people attain their goals.
  • Extends YMCA services in the community by scheduling community-based facilities and increasing in-house services, otherwise known as Outreach programming. Work with administrative personnel to ensure that these programs are billed properly, and that payment is received for services rendered.
Educational Background: 
Bachelors Degree in related field along with 2 years of directly related experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Supevisory experience is preferred and we are seeking an individual with personal training and group exercise certifications.
  • Personal Training and Group Ex certifications
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $44,000.00 - $48,000.00
