The CLEVELAND COUNTY FAMILY YMCA is located in Norman, Oklahoma. Norman is a family friendly town with many activities (population 117,528) and a great school system. It is home to the University of Oklahoma and is located just 10 miles south of Oklahoma City.
Our full service, 80,000 sq. ft. Y has a $4 million budget. It is an independent, standalone Y with 15 full time employees.
Under the general guidance of the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Finance is responsible for the daily management of the accounting, payroll, accounts payable, sustaining and capital billings and preparation of all financial reports both internal and external. The position is responsible for the preparation of complete and accurate monthly and annual Financial Statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The Vice President of Finance is also responsible for maintaining the fiscal integrity of all contracts; and funded programs as well as processing transactions and maintaining all accounting records for the association.
- Recruit, train and supervise all finance employees.
- Oversee financial aspects of the human resource department.
- Implement/maintain and train directors on Financial Accounting system and provide for effective administration of all financial records and reporting.
- Set up information management system for record keeping and reporting of fiscal data (i.e., contracts, employee benefits, etc.)
- Preparation and accountability of Association annual reports, 990s, 512E, tax returns and annual audits.
- Assist professional staff in preparation of annual association budget and advise staff on matters of financial administration.
- Maintain adequate cash flow to meet obligations under existing policies.
- Consults and advises CEO on regular basis summarizing financial operations, fiscal condition, and necessary corrective action, if any.
- Serves as a Department Head and will assist the CEO in annual fundraising projects and other functions as needed.
- Conduct monthly finance meetings with the CEO and Board members. Attend Board meetings.
- Administration of YMCA payroll system (Paycom).
- To protect against the unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- This position is primarily concerned with the overall fiscal operation of the organization. The Vice President of Finance will work closely with the CEO as well as the Finance Committee in the development and implementation of procedures that ensure a healthy financial operation.
- The position is heavily weighted in the financial and fiscal area, and must bring training and knowledge in these areas to the position. Employee will bring to the position knowledge of personal computer, operational software, spreadsheets, as well as a good understanding of budgetary control.
- The successful candidate will have a college degree in Accounting or Finance and 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field. Prefer experience within a social service organization but not required.
Salary: $44,669.00 - $55,837.00
