As we work to broaden the impact of our team – both internally and externally – we are looking for a Coordinator, Regional Operations. In this role, you will position the region for success by providing essential execution and administrative support. The ideal candidate is energized working behind-the-scenes, is an overall positive presence in the workplace and has a genuine desire to help others.  Attention to detail is critical in this role, so given the stakes, you will ensure no ball is dropped and you are able to manage multiple systems, projects and deadlines simultaneously. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to understand the inner workings of a dynamic nonprofit, collaborate across multiple teams, and seeking to learn, hone and master key operational skills such as budget tracking, facilities management and maintaining a positive office culture.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Partnerships Support (50%)

  • Implement system to facilitate compliance with Americorps program by communicating process and expectations to corps members and staff and maintaining accurate records to track completion
  • Oversee the collection and acknowledgement of $300,000+ in partner fees from school partners across New Jersey

Office Operations and Systems (30%)

  • Manage the reception area and provide exceptional customer service to on-site visitors, external partners, local vendors and staff
  • Maintain office operations by stocking supplies and inventory, receiving package deliveries, managing incoming & outgoing mail distribution and bringing innovation to organizational systems and technology
  • Shape office policies and norms, liaise with building management for office maintenance, and provide light physical office space support as needed
  • Support budget planning across teams through expense tracking, paying invoices, processing check requests and reimbursements, processing American Express expenses for functional team leads and Executive Director

Team Operations and Culture (20%)

  • Participate in team initiatives and collaborate with Manager, Regional Operations to plan impactful staff retreats, celebrations, team meetings, and staff communication (includes logistics, meals, technology and materials as well as sending weekly blasts)
  • Provide logistical support for regional events as needed
  • Foster a positive team culture through implementation of region-wide initiatives that ensure all team members feel welcomed and valued
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1-3 years professional experience, preferred but not required
  • Preferred experience in administrative or operational support role 

Work Demands

  • Ability to work occasional evening and weekends
  • Ability to work out of our Teach For America - New Jersey (Newark) office required
  • Occasional travel to Camden office
