If grassroots organizing is your passion, this job is for you. You’ll be immersed knee-deep in the 2020 election and a massive, multi-pronged effort to promote democratic participation. Our nationwide network of organizers will be guided by you and your leadership when it comes to registering and turning out voters at community events. This job, based at our home office in New York City, will require you to be motivated and organized, but also creative. You’ll be expected to experiment and think outside the box while documenting successful practices so it can be shared with others. By November, you will have helped register thousands of new voters and turned even more out to the polls.
Responsibilities will include:
Overseeing and implementing non-partisan voter registration and volunteer recruitment drives reaching underserved communities

Leading strategy and training as it relates to diversity and inclusion
Recruiting volunteers and paid organizers, and fostering a team environment inclusive to all
Playing a lead role in an initiative to hire full-time organizers in cities around the U.S. to expand the services we can offer in the communities most in need
Creating field guides and documenting best practices for community-based voter registration activities
Bringing an astute, culturally-aware voice to all decision-making and public communications.
