As the Senior Analyst, Reporting & Analytics, you will play an integral role in shaping how the Human Assets team and broader organization engage with data about our staff through the design and delivery of reporting tools and analytics. You will influence how and when stakeholders interact with data by leveraging your abilities to manipulate data, to visualize data in innovative ways, and effectively communicate insights to a variety of audiences. The ideal candidate will also excel at building relationships, project planning and have a track record of exercising strong judgment and operating independently in complex situations. The Senior Analyst, Reporting & Analytics will report directly to the Managing Director, Reporting & Analytics.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Design and produce reports, dashboards, and analyses that present information in a way that maximizes insight and action for end users
  • Evolve and improve our existing suite of reports, with a particular focus on increasing usage and automation
  • Clean, manipulate, and analyze data using multiple systems (ex: Workday, Salesforce, Business Objects, Power BI, Excel)
  • Determine the vision and direction for projects you lead, including setting project goals, developing timelines, and defining measures of success
  • Collaborate closely with HA partners to successfully rollout new or updated reporting tools and dashboards and to provide trainings and resources to give guidance and promote best practices
  • Partner with technology teams to develop increased report functionality with our current reporting tools
  • Grow your skill and expertise in data visualization, analysis, and reporting while becoming an expert on Teach For America’s people data across the employee lifecycle
Skills/Experience: 
  • 4+  years of work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with data in an analytical or systems related role

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience translating data, feedback and research into actionable solutions
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills in Excel
  • Experience with business intelligence or database reporting systems, Business Objects and/or Power BI preferred
  • Experience with HRIS and/or ATS technologies preferred
  • Experience designing and delivering reports and/or analyses tailored to a variety of stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods
  • Ability to learn new data management technologies/systems quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently and independently to hit deadlines with high-quality solutions; balance competing and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact with confidential information discreetly and ethically
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated cultural competence, critical consciousness, and ability to work across lines of difference

Work Demands

  •  Ability to travel to in-person meetings in various U.S. cities 3 – 4 times per year (if outside of New York, travel may be more frequent)
  • Occasional weekend or evening work is required
  • Working with colleagues who are based all over the country – using remote technologies
