The Recruiting and Intern Coordinator provides administrative and project support to the intern program team, as well as provide back-up support to the HR team. The Recruiting & Intern Coordinator is based in the New York City office and reports to the Manager, Human Resources.
Areas of Responsibility:
Recruiting/Staff Engagement
- Provide support to the Manager, for all aspects of the National Audubon Society intern and fellow programs including: talent acquisition, coordination of job postings, scheduling interviews and follow-up and build partnerships with hiring managers
- Lead the continued development and implementation of the internship/fellowship program
- Process new hires for onboarding; collect on-boarding forms from new hires and process
- Maintain all intern and fellow files and job descriptions for the organization
- Assist the Manager with Recruiting metrics; create spreadsheets to track the ROI for the programs
- Develop and revise internship policies and procedures
- Create and lead programming for the internship and fellowship programs
- Work with the Director on Staff Engagement initiatives as needed (employee surveys, and responses and coordination of action items)
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years administrative support experience; experience in a human resources department preferred; minimum one year leading an intern or fellows program is ideal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Superior time management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and proofreading skills
