The Prospect Research Analyst will conduct research with the goal of upgrading donors and developing new prospects. This individual will be a part of a 3-person research team that works with Development leadership and gift officers across NRDC’s offices.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Research on individual prospects including profiles and shorter form research.
- Analysis of screening data to qualify prospects.
- General data management to ensure research is integrated within Development’s operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of prospect research experience, or a similar amount of related fundraising, marketing or client relations experience with a strong desire to enter the prospect research field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including an ability to find, analyze and synthesize complex information to produce clear and effective written reports.
- Attention to detail, grammar, NRDC formatting, and privacy and confidentiality is required.
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments and comfort with being proactive to complete assignments accurately and on time.
- A commitment to career development and professionalism including the APRA Code of Ethics.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with cause-related fundraising a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce a plus.
