This position sits within the Monthly Giving Team and reports to the Director of Monthly Giving. The Monthly Giving Team is part of the Development Department and is responsible for recruiting and developing monthly donors to support Amnesty International USA’s (AIUSA) human rights work, this is done using a range a marketing channels including canvassing, door to door and digital.

The Development Department has an ambitious fundraising growth plan to maximize the amount of money raised for human rights work. The Monthly Giving Acquisition Manager plays a key role in achieving this plan by leading the work of acquiring new monthly donors.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop and manage an acquisition strategy that maximizes volume and lifetime value of supporters – ensuring all aspects of acquisition campaigns are implemented and well managed.
  • Develop & implement the monthly giving acquisition budget, taking a lead in reporting, reviewing and re-forecasting the program where necessary.  
  • Work with the data team to ensure analysis that contributes to the objectives of the monthly giving team.
  • Develop and test different strategies for acquiring new monthly donors, using learnings to continually optimize acquisition campaigns.
  • Manage production of monthly giving acquisition campaigns in line with planned budgets and targets ensuring campaign deadlines are met. This includes briefing agencies, overseeing copy and artwork development, developing telemarketing scripts and liaising with AIUSA’s Data team to undertake complex data selections.
  • Work closely with other members of the Development Team to ensure all activities are coordinated and donor-focused.  
  • Manage relationships with fundraising agencies at a strategic level. This includes managing pitch processes, contract and pricing negotiations, and performance reviews to ensure objectives are met.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Four years of relevant work experience
  • Experience managing monthly giving acquisition campaigns.
  • Experience analyzing monthly giving results and contributing to monthly giving strategy, plans and budgets.
  • Experience of managing fundraising vendors and developing excellent relationships with internal teams to deliver objectives.
  • Experience using fundraising CRM’s
  • Ability to use Excel, Word & PowerPoint
