The Marketing Assistant implements tactics in approved plan. S/he tracks and analyzes projects and data.
The Marketing Assistant creates, implements and coordinates tactical projects and ongoing work. S/he coordinates work with staff, vendors or consultants to implement assigned phases of the project(s) or assigned work to ensure deliverables are met. S/he tracks and analyzes program/project processes and results and reports findings to senior marketing managers or program managers. S/he makes recommendations for process/project or program improvement. The Marketing Assistant will spend part of their time in support of the NY Marketing team, assisting with various projects including, but not limited to, marketing, social media and media relations
The Marketing Assistant also assists the senior marketing leader (Director of Marketing, North America Region) in organizational and administrative tasks including calendar management, travel management and expense report management. In addition, the Marketing Assistant serves as lead coordinator of events and functions in support of the North American Marketing Leadership Team (NAMLT). As required, the Marketing Assistant will also support the senior marketing leader with research projects and general project management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Coordinates projects and manages a timeline.
- Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
- Works within a budget to complete assigned projects or work.
- Opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks.
- Works with vendors/other parties to execute projects/deliverables.
- A minimum of 2 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience organizing and coordinating projects.
- Experience proofreading and editing business documents.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
- Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
- Solid knowledge of word processing, database management and spreadsheet software, with ability to construct and produce reports, use mail merges and advanced functions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic application knowledge of project management principles.
- Practical application of marketing concepts.
