As the Managing Director, Program Design (MD,PD) you lead the Program Design Team (PDT), a sub-team of the broader Programs Team. PDT designs and trains staff to implement TFA-NY’s Theory of Leadership Development (NYTOLD) such that our teachers develop as equity-minded, persistent, innovative and bridge-building leaders who achieve our bold vision for student outcomes in their classrooms. You hold the vision and bar for the NYTOLD programming and ensure that it is coherent, connected, and catalytic for all participants from pre-service through their two-year teaching commitment and into early alumnihood. You manage, coach and develop the members of the PDT to design high quality programming and to lead ongoing training and development of full-time and seasonal staff to effectively implement it with our teachers. You work closely with our graduate school partner, RELAY Graduate School of Education (RGSE), to ensure that the content our teachers receive in their Master’s degree program tightly aligns to our student outcomes strategy, the NYTOLD, and our participant experience. You also lead the effort to ensure continuous learning around the impact of our programs to inform ongoing improvements and innovations to design. The MD,PD reports directly to the Vice President, Programs and sits on the Programs Leadership Team, Regional Leadership Team and Institute Management Team.
