Manager, Digital Fundraising

Reporting to the Director, Direct Response Marketing, the Manager, Digital Fundraising will lead the implementation of a strategic digital engagement and fundraising plan to most effectively acquire, convert, and retain constituents. Responsibilities will include the analysis, planning and production of digital campaigns and products across multiple channels designed to engage many constituencies in Audubon’s work to protect birds and the habitat in which they live

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Aid Director, Direct Response in the development of organizational cross-channel digital communications strategy with data analysis, financial projections and process/workflow analysis.
  • With Director, Direct Response and other internal stakeholders, develop short and long-range operating objectives and key performance indicators for digital revenue, engagement and conversion and report back on KPIs regularly.
  • Take ownership of digital acquisition strategy and implementation, including lifetime value analysis of leads based on source.
  • Lead implementation of email segmentation strategy, including owning scheduling and approving audience segments before emails go out.
  • Traffic digital assets, approvals and requests from multiple departments to execute campaigns with multiple stakeholders.
  • Manage landing page optimization and testing plans to improve performance and increase income.
  • Manage external digital consultants and vendors, including contracts and invoice processing.
  • Oversee production and quality assurance of digital assets.
  • Support the Director, Direct Response with analytics and project management around implementation of major digital initiatives aimed at delivering a holistic membership experience.
  • Strive to innovate, research and make recommendations on new technologies and techniques relevant to data analysis and online engagement.
  • Other projects as needed.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing or Mathematics/Statistics.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 years’ work experience required.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including ability to analyze processes and workflows to find efficiencies.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders across different internal departments and external vendors.
  • Comfortable with fast-paced work environment, and demonstrated ability to solve problems, ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and manage resources effectively.
  • Experience with complex data sets a must, knowledge of CRM technology and data integration desired. Every Action and Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Ability and interest in quickly learning a variety of new digital tools, processes and techniques.
  • Ability to build consensus and work effectively across departments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and digital production skills a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the National Audubon Society.
  • Commitment to further Audubon’s efforts to create a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment.
  • Previous non-profit experience preferred
  • An interest in conservation, birds and/or birding not required but strongly preferred.
