We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team and responsible for providing HR Junior Generalist level support in the areas of recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, policy administration, etc. The Human Resources Coordinator will provide key HR assistance to the overall organization and takes the lead on various ad hoc projects, assist with trouble shooting and working with both internal and external vendors and client(s).
Areas of Responsibility:
- Coordinate employee lifecycle events (e.g. hires, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, departures, etc.) for all temporary and permanent staff in assigned office, working in conjunction with Payroll, IT, and Facilities as applicable.
- Assist Deputy Director, Human Resources with recruiting including but not limited to: resume review, phone screens, reference checks, postings, close positions (iCims), preparing pricing, conducting background check and sending hire letters etc.
- Manage, own and lead all aspects of the annual Internship Program, includes full-cycle recruiting and administrative support
- Assist with special projects and institution-wide HR initiatives such as but not limited to quarterly orientation event, participate in new HR technology implementation and project work
- Responsible for systems administration with routine information, audit and update tasks
- Analyze and synthesize data, create meaningful metrics, reports and dashboards
- Conduct audits of new hire paperwork, and other HR programs, and recommend corrective actions
- Assist with coordinating training for NRDC staff including set-up, registration, collecting feedback, and tracking course participation
- Provide a high touch customer service experience to our staff
- Schedule and organize departmental meetings and conference calls
- Recruit, train, supervise and mentor the HR Intern(s)
- Manage HR Acuity (employee relations system)
- Perform other projects as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or Human Resources Management preferred
Skills/Experience:
- Three to five years of administrative experience required; Human Resources experience highly preferred
- Outstanding written and verbal communication; must be a clear and concise communicator
Professional Skill Requirements:
- Tech and Internet savvy plus a proven mastery of Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; Great Plains accounting software knowledge and Concur; familiar with HRIS Systems (Paylocity, iCIMS) and other HR technology application is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and organizational skills are required; timely completion and attention to detail are expected as is the ability to make decisions and access situations with the “big picture” in mind

- Ability to assert functional leadership and influence and to communicate ideas, proposals and decisions in a professional manner
