As the Director of Digital Analytics & Data Science, you will establish a vision for how Teach For America can use analytics tools and data science techniques to effectively measure its digital efforts to drive continuous improvement, and lead a team to execute that vision.
Teach For America’s digital ecosystem serves diverse audiences, from prospects and recruits to new and established teachers to alumni of our program. All the products, channels, and campaigns in our digital ecosystem generate data, such as web analytics data, email performance metrics, social media platform data, and more. The Director of Analytics & Data is responsible for finding an optimum solution for storing and accessing this data, connecting disparate data sources together, integrating them with other sources of business intelligence within Teach For America (such as recruitment pipeline data), and helping colleagues derive actionable insights from them.
You will oversee a small team of marketing analysts and data scientists who maintain and improve TFA’s digital measurement infrastructure, including Google Marketing Platform (with a focus on Google Analytics 360), BigQuery, PowerBI and other tools. You will collaborate with product management, user experience, and marketing channel leadership to develop plans for measuring their work, and then oversee reporting as specified in those plans.
You will work closely with channel leads, including web, social, email, and paid media, to help them optimize their efforts. You will also collaborate with other business intelligence leaders within Teach For America to integrate your team’s work with other insights being developed across the organization. You will work with them as well as with product and brand leadership to evangelize modern digital measurement and attribution techniques.
You will use digital data to make Teach For America more effective and make Teach For America more effective at using digital data.
