The Digital Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for managing and driving the paid digital acquisition strategy for growing our base on supporters across paid channels. The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the overall acquisition and retention strategy including building tailored supporter journeys to maximize engagement. This role will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of digital marketing across paid channels with a goal of increasing engagement and growing our base of active supporters. This role will work collaborative with stakeholders across multiple departments and will report directly to the Director of Online Engagement.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Works with a range of stakeholders to develop paid acquisition strategies and benchmarks of success across different programs.
  • Develops a paid digital marketing strategy to grow the number of supporters and develops long-term retention plans.
  • Works with the Email Manager to develop custom welcome journeys and ladders of engagement.
  • Provide leadership and direction for digital marketing activities by keeping up to date with the latest industry standards, best practices, and trends in digital marketing.
  • Develop a paid content strategy and work closely with our content creator to develop creative assets to meet targets and objectives.
  • Provide expertise and guidance across the organization on paid marketing strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies to support our growth objectives.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Approximately four years of related experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital communications and digital marketing.
  • Experience developing paid digital strategies for multi-issue organizations.
  • Experience managing digital acquisition and retention paid marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing and monitoring a budget.
  • Experience using analytics and monitoring tools to measure results and monitor success.
  • Experience managing a digital agency and external vendors.
  • Experience writing and editing digital marketing content.
  • Experience balancing competing priorities and needs, with a flexible approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow, retain, and deepen engagement with digital audiences using paid marketing tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
