As a Benefits & Compensation Analyst, you will be a member of the Benefits & Compensation (B&C) team where you will support the design and implementation of Teach For America’s total rewards philosophy, policies/norms, operations and systems. You will be in a unique position to have a huge impact on the vision and direction of benefits and compensation at Teach for America.
 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Every work day will look a little different – you will have many different issues on your plate at any given time and you’ll juggle multiple priorities while effectively balancing all of your resources. 

Operations: [70%]

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner and subject matter expert for all staff members in your portfolio of client teams for benefits and compensation related matters
  • Build strong partnerships with team leaders and equip them with the necessary tools, support and guidance around our total rewards philosophy, policies and offerings
  • Manage the institute salary offer process with national and regional institute teams and support the ongoing maintenance of the institute compensation model
  • Collaborate with other members of the Benefits & Compensation team to refine business practices and jointly own and ensure the accuracy of our Workday compensation data

 Key Projects: [30%]

  • Create, implement, and manage all training resources related to our compensation model (Compensation Training for team leaders/approvers, Fundamentals of Compensation for all staff, partner team trainings, and future phases of compensation transparency training)
  • Manage annual compensation surveys, analyze results, and develop strategies based on feedback
  • Design our organization’s annual wellness program based on an in-depth understanding of our staff members’ health and wellness needs
  • Manage the implementation and ongoing operations for our milestone recognition program
  • Support the project management, design and execution of our annual processes (compensation review, headcount planning, and open enrollment)
  • Support the evolving design and implementation of our org-wide total rewards strategy and compensation model
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience required
  • Prior experience managing large-scale projects strongly preferred
  • Prior management consulting, compensation analysis, and/or HR experience preferred
  • Prior experience creating learning and development materials and/or facilitating learning experiences for adults preferred

 Work Demands

  • Occasional travel 1-2 times/quarter
