Associate Manager, Integrated Marketing

Provide in-office, day-to-day support for a senior-level marketing lead on account and category development. Includes responding to fast turnaround custom proposals (RFPs), developing strategic presentations, packaging research to support storytelling and producing sales materials and solutions as well as project timelines, flow charts and pricing pages. Ownership of a client-facing added value lead generation program.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Craft and produce client-facing proposals, presentations, and sales collateral
  • Assist with category research/background and sales development 
  • Collaborate with marketing lead and research managers to develop account-specific sales advantages 
  • Communicate advertising solutions through written and visual formats based on client’s goals across AARP’s Media properties
  • Analyze and understand syndicated research and be able to package effectively in client-facing communications
  • Manage, implement and track readers service programs (print and digital: Free Resources)
  • Create, manage and maintain sales collateral aligned with certain accounts/categories/properties
  • Interact with different departments within AARP Media Sales, including internal marketing department (research, creative services, content development, digital ad services) as well as internal salespeople and outside sales rep firm
Educational Background: 
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3+ years of major media advertising experience, or an equivalent combination of training and internships in advertising media (print and digital preferred)
  • Understanding of print and digital media and metrics, knowledge of advertising, basic understanding of syndicated research and analytical/numbers aptitude
  • Meet tight deadlines with short turnaround times and handle multiple projects concurrently; balance a consistent work flow
  • Be highly organized with the ability to prioritize under pressure
  • Outstanding computer skills with a high level of proficiency in MS Office Suite: PPT, Word, Excel
  • Strong writing skills (proposals, presentations, sales collateral, success stories)
  • Synthesize complex subjects and succinctly articulate ideas in written, visual, and spoken word
  • Critical attention to detail, spelling and mathematical accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Ability to apply past learnings to new clients and ongoing business
  • Proactive and take initiative
  • Can-do attitude
