NRDC is seeking a Program Finance Administrator in our NY office.  The Program Finance Administrator performs all tasks essential to insuring expenses are recorded correctly and that budgets are met and optimized for the assigned programs and departments.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Enters purchase orders into Great Plains ERP system and assigns expenses to appropriate grants.
  • Codes invoices to program and forwards to accounts payable for payment.
  • Downloads expense details from Great Plains and other sources to develop monthly expense monitoring reports.
  • Prepares monthly budget-to-actual analysis.
  • Monitors spending against grants and contracts to ensure compliance with donor intent.
  • Meets periodically with Program Managers/Directors and Program Finance Manager to review expenditures and performance against budget identifying any potential issues.
  • Serves as primary Finance point of contact for assigned programs and departments.
  • Assists in preparation of annual budget for assigned programs and departments.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Excel pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting a plus.
  • Great Plains or other similar ERP experience a plus.
  • 0-5 years experience.
