We now need a results-driven Education Coordinator to join our school community. 

 

Reporting to a school-based Education Manager, the Education Coordinator will be a results-driven leader looking to use data and strong systems to promote rapid student achievement.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

- Ensuring teachers and leaders have detailed and current data to make fast, data-driven decisions and action plans to change scholar practice;

- Designing innovative and effective systems to track assessment, homework, and culture data for the school community;

- Managing ongoing testing administration, including high-stakes testing for grades 3 and up; and

- Learning and supporting struggling scholars by creating systems and interventions.

Skills/Experience: 

Successful candidates should also have the following experiences and characteristics:

 

- Have proven experience building relationships with the ability to communicate and set measurable goals with adults and scholars;

- Are deeply self-reflective, passionate, and committed to world-class schooling and excellence;

- Possess meticulous attention to detail and excellent project management skills with proven systems to maintain integrity;

- Have grit and courage in the face of really difficult work; and

- Have unparalleled commitment for action-driven analysis for the benefit of our scholars.

Founded in 2006, Success Academy Charter Schools is the largest and highest-performing free, public charter school network in New York City. Admission is open to all New York State children, including those with special needs and English language learners. Students are admitted by a random lottery held each April. Success Academy operates 46 schools serving 15,500 students in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. Across the network, 76% of students are from low-income households; 8.5% are current and former English Language Learners, and 15% are current and former special needs students. About 93% of students are children of color.
