The Child Care Director is directly responsible for our state licensed on-site infant-preschool program serving 90 children a day. As part of our Child Care team, this individual would work along side the School Age Director and Preschool Director to ensure our program meets all state of PA regualtions and PA Keysone Stars expectations.  The Child Care Director will lead a staff of 25 part-time team members providing the highest level of care for our community members.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The Child Care Director will be responsible for leading 25 part-time employees. The center is open 5 days a week from 6AM-6PM.
  • The Director is resposonsible for the day to day operations of our Child Care Programs, as well as assisting with our Preschool Program, and 3 school age before and after school sites.
Educational Background: 
A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education OR non-related BA degree with 30 related credits
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1 year experience working with children is required. Applicants must have at least 2 years experience supervising and leading staff, as well as experience with CACFP Food Service Program and CCIS (Child Care Subsidy Program)

  • Physical and TB Test
  • First Aid and CPR Certified
  • Water Safety
  • Fire Safety
Compensation/Benefits: 

BENEFITS: 12% retirement. 85% funded Medical insurance, 100% funded Dental and Vision insurance, plus life and long term disability insurance, Free Child Care

SALARY: $28,500-$30,000
