This position is responsible for managing and giving hands on leadership to the maintenance department. They will perform routine maintenance in the Fulton Street YMCA facility as well as other branch and departments as needed. They are also responsible for keeping the facilities safe, clean and functioning properly for members.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Supervision and training of approx 3 to 5 part time cleaning staff and 1 full time.
- Responsible for the development and control of the department budget.
- Provides routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, low pressure boiler and other general repairs.
- Monitor and adjust the swimming pool chemical system to meet state standards.
- Repairs high tech fitness equipment.
- Experience with managing plan and facility upgrading/refurbishing projects.
- Ability to develop and deliver preventative maintenance systems
- Ability to develop and deliver cleaning procedures, products and equipment used to clean all surfaces found in YMCA facilities.
- Ensures compliance with risk management standards
- Recommends to the CEO future capital requirements and building repair priorities.
- Works as a member of the senior management team at the YMCA.
- Conducts weekly tours of the facility with the Branch Manager to set repair priorities.
- Maintain MSDS for association.
Skills/Experience:
- Pool Operators Certification
- Experience in facility management and repair
- Experience to low pressure boiler system.
- Leadership qualities
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing HVAC systems.
- 3 years minimum experience in housekeeping and supervision and training of staff.
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Through knowledge of health and safety issues related to facility and cleaning.
- 5 years experience in building maintenance and repairs
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00
