The program director is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of 12 after school and 4 before school sites.

The program director position is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of 12 after school and 4 before school sites. The program director is also responsible for planning, coordination and supervision of the Goodtimes Center Summer Program.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for preparing and managing the budget for the areas of responsibility
  • Develop, plan, promote and implement all programs for the areas of responsibility
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff in areas of responsibility
  • Maintains consistent collection strategies to ensure no participant at schools in area of responsibility fall delinquent thus maintaining budgeted income in said areas per week
  • Market after school programs at PTA meetings and other events held for the community
  • Prepare payroll and make sure salaries stay within budget by ensuring that participant numbers justify staff numbers, keeping payroll percentage under 48%
  • Actively seek and recruit partners to enhance the Goodtimes programs
  • Make sure programs are promoted through brochures and an active marketing plan
  • Plan and implement training for all summer and after school staff
  • Establish accountability standards for staff
  • Motivate staff to give to the annual campaign
  • Attend trainings for self-development and career advancement
  • Develop a good relationship with principals through communication at least once a month
  • Plan thank you events for parents
  • Develop a parent committee to meet at least twice a year
  • Keep CACFP and SFSP waste under 10% by turning in updated numbers on a weekly basis
Educational Background: 
Bachelors degree from a four year college or university
Skills/Experience: 
  • Red Cross CPR for the professional rescuer, AED, and O2 required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
  • Bloodborne pathogens and all other required safety trainings
  • Red Cross Instructor level certification recommended
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $32,000.00 - $36,000.00
