Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Operations/COO, the Operations Director will administer the policies, procedures and programs of the association in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Directors and its constitution and bylaws, and includes fiscal management, financial development and program administration. In addition, every position in the YMCA Of Greater Montgomery is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character – caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Oversee membership development, youth sports, and wellness including staffing, payroll, budget and evaluation.
  • Oversee the facility youth sport fields: activities, schedules, maintenance & upkeep, and overall development of program implementation and growth.
  • Works with Member Service staff to insure positive member experiences in all areas of the facility and programs.
  • Provide support and assistance in wellness programs including instructor evaluation.
  • Assumes responsibilities for efficient branch operation and maintenance.
  • Develops and manages the branch budgets.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff in supervised program areas.  Provides subordinates ongoing feedback regarding their performance.
  • Takes a lead role in the Annual Campaign
  • Develops advisory committee of volunteers who have the influence, skills, experience, and background to support achievement of the Y’s strategic plan
  • Must be able to work with diverse multicultural community
  • Create programs and activities that serve a diverse multicultural community
  • Supervise other programs and projects as assigneda
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University; plus five (5) years related experience and/or training.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Bilingual in English and Korean a plus.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00
