Be a part of a NEW and EXCITING opportunity to usher in change as the Executive Director/Program Executive for the “new” Midtown YMCA.

Under the direction of the Sr. V.P. of Operations, the Executive Director/Program Executive is responsible for all branch decision-making and operations including membership, program services, financial development, community engagement, business operations, facility management, and employee development.The Executive Director/Program Executive will work, in conjunction with the Director of Healthy Living, to deliver outstanding wellness opportunities to meet the need of members.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Promotes the mission and philosophy of the association
  • Branch Board of Directors recruitment, education and branch committee development
  • Staff and volunteer recruitment, development, supervision, and evaluation
  • Interpretation and communication of the objectives and programs of the YMCA to the community through public communication and participates actively in community organizations
  • Administers approved budget and takes appropriate action to maintain fiscal soundness of the branch
  • Executes the decisions of the branch board and committees involving written correspondence, personal contact and representation by appropriate action
  • Reviews and evaluates the enrollment, programs, services, and operation of the branch and communicates the findings to the branch board, committees, staff, Chief Operating Officer and President/CEO, makes necessary changes to ensure program and service quality and growth
  • Actively pursue and develop relationships within the community including schools, churches, homeowner’s associations, civic organizations, etc.
  • Continually review and evaluate key performance measures, enrollment, program service, and operation of the Branch
  • Develop an annual plan for securing support for the Annual Campaign which provides scholarships for needy families in our communities
  • Create a member-focused culture to promote membership growth and retention
  • Works with the Director of Healthy Living to ensure outstanding wellness opportunities are available to members
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop marketing messages and resources to support the membership and program growth strategy
  • Responsible for facility use, cleanliness and maintenance
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of five years related leadership and operations experience and/or training.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 5 years successful leadership and supervisory experience managing multiple staff teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • YMCA Sr. Director or Organizational Leader preferred
  • Firt Aid, CPR, AED & Oxygen Administration
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00
