The Ozarks Regional YMCA is located in the beautiful Ozarks of Southwest Missouri.  We are a progressive association that has been serving our communities for over 125 years made up of 7 branches located in Bolivar, Hollister (Branson), Lebanon, Monett, Cassville, and the Springfield area; 1 program center located in Buffalo; a resident camp; and our School Age Services sites throughout the area.

The Ozarks Regional YMCA is seeking a strong YMCA Professional to continue to grow and have a lasting and positive impact on the community we serve at our Monett Family YMCA in Monett, MO. The Monett Area YMCA opened in 2004; and in 2013, they opened their current facility, a new family center.  Monett’s YMCA has 2,600 units (7,400 members) and an operating budget of $2,000,000.

The city of Monett is a thriving community of opportunity. These is a uniqueness to Monett with its variety of businesses and industries, opportunities, recreational activities and a very warm welcome. A community of “Pride & Progress” located between Joplin and Springfield, Monett is considered the regional center for Barry and Lawrence counties (the largest city in either county) and has the ninth busiest airport in Missouri. It is truly a town with big city amenities and small town values at less than 9,000 people and growing.  

The YMCA’s facility is located within the city’s largest park.  Located just south of State Highway 60, it is 65 acres and home to a large fishing pond, four tennis courts, a basketball court, two soccer fields and a horseshoe court. During the summer months, the most popular place in town is the Olympic-sized swimming pool, with its water slides run completely by the Y.  There are also two playgrounds, picnic shelters, a rose garden and fountain, and miles of trails used daily by walkers, cyclists and nature-loving hikers. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers focused on relationship building, member retention, member sales, and excellence in serviceto maintain an environment that advances the mission, vision, and programs.
  • Develop, administer, and maintaineffective and efficient operation and accountability for the branch and its annual budget.
  • Provide leadership to and coordination of the Annual Giving Campaign, capital campaigns, and other fund raising events.
  • Collaborate with staff to maximize the success of center operations in fundraising, staff development, member sales and engagement and financial management.
  • Role model collaborative leadership behaviors and hold staff accountable for demonstrating the same.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse community leaders as a basis for financial develop and identification and implementation of responsive programs for the community we serve – work with social, civic and local organizations to develop partnerships, where appropriate, to engage and utilize volunteers
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of Y programs through direct supervision of branch staff
  • Provide leadership and support to Center Board volunteers and work collaboratively with Center Board Chair to build an engaged and informed board of volunteer
Educational Background: 
Possess a four year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must be able to demonstrate a history of successful fundraising, strong fiscal management skills, supervisory skills, marketing and public relations experience, and a history of effective volunteer management
  • Dedicated to the Ozarks Regional YMCA and be deliberate in reaching outlined goals. Candidate must exemplify the YMCA Core Values and be able to communicate the YMCA Mission effective
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $47,000.00 - $60,000.00
