We seek an experienced leader who sees their role in enabling student self-determination as one of strategy and logistics. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, logical, thoughtful, and has a knack for bringing people into complex processes. As Director of Regional Operations, you will lead the region’s work around data and budget management, participant logistics, and external partnerships. As the owner of the regional onboarding strategy and execution, you will ensure new corps members not only understand the requirements necessary to become a teacher, but arrive in the summer invested in their community and inspired by the work ahead. This role is designed to maximize your leadership development, through a dual lens of operational excellence and long-term strategic planning design.
The Director, Regional Operations will be responsible for:
Regional Operations and Logistics (30%)
- Design cross-functional team process to ensure excellence and cohesion across the participant journey, including but not limited to induction, kickoff, all corps events, and alumni events
- Set vision and design systems to manage, analyze, and report regional program data
- Fully own student survey project: designing and executing CM trainings, maintaining and analyzing data and making programming recommendations to TLD team as a result
- Design and maintain office systems and organization, including training and investing the team
- Lead and manage AmeriCorps compliance
- Work in close partnership with MD, SDO and ED to design the region’s 2025 five-year strategic planning process
Financial Operations (25%)
- Design and facilitate resources and learning experiences to ensure all staff members in the region are able to meet finance compliance expectations, including reimbursements, time sheets, and corporate card reports
- Act as a buyer for the region to make purchases, process invoices, and other financial needs
Onboarding Execution (5%)
- Set strategy and fully own execution for onboarding a cohort of 25-30 incoming corps members
- Partner with TLD and provide recommendations for onboarding programming content design and delivery
- Build relationships and cultivate mindsets so that all incoming corps members complete all testing and other onboarding requirements on time
- Create ongoing stewardship plans to execute for confirmed corps members to the region
External Partnerships (30%)
- Set vision, design, and execute a regional evaluation process, cultivating relationships and engaging a large number of local stakeholders and partners
- Create and execute plan for managing local alumni relationships, including designing a communications strategy
Ongoing Regional Responsibilities (10%)
- Participate in regional events to support the recruitment, matriculation, hiring, and ongoing support of corps members
- Minimum of three years’ experience in strategic planning and design
- Experience in adult facilitation (PLC and large group facilitation)
- Minimum of five years’ experience living and working in indigenous communities
- Track record of organizational excellence at the individual and team levels
