The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for the overall recruitment and selection process for YGTC while partnering with management to identify hiring priorities to attain business goals. The incumbent directs the work of the Talent Acquisition team and actively participates in the talent acquisition process.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead, manage and direct the work of the Talent Acquisition team.
- Oversee YGTC’s talent acquisition process to ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with Human Resource staff and Association management to identify hiring priorities and attain business goals.
- Actively support the Association’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, including an intentional focus on attracting candidates to reflect the communities we serve.
- Manage a portfolio of full-cycle recruiting, selection and hiring.
- Identify, monitor and report on key talent acquisition metrics and initiatives including oversight of EEO/AA reporting.
- Provide overall leadership to key partnerships, collegiate/high school and community relationships.
- Oversee job fair/special events planning.
- Consult with leadership regarding ongoing process improvements related to talent acquisition and onboarding.
- In conjunction with HR leadership, manage recruitment advertising budget.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of talent acquisition experience in a broad, diversified environment required; employment/staffing agency experience and/or retail talent acquisition experience strongly preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year providing direct or indirect supervision to others
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of effectively driving process improvement, multitasking and a high attention to detail
- Experience with online recruitment and networking strategies (internet, websites, social media)
- Demonstrated experience with “best practice” recruiting programs and initiatives
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, coaching and interviewing skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, external agencies and candidates
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Experience exercising discretion in matters of candidate, employee and organization confidentiality
- Computer proficiency using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), database search and web-based platforms
- Applicant tracking systems (ATS) experience required, Kronos Talent Management system preferred
- Highly motivated and innovative with ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast paced environment
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships to drive recruiting efficiencies
