  • Be highly motivated and possess a strong understanding of quality programming in a variety of areas. 
  • Ability to connect members and program participants toward a committed relationship within the YMCA.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, be highly professional, and have the organizational ability to effectively manage volunteer and staff.
  • Provide leadership to responsible programming areas.
Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives.  Expands youth sports, family programing and Youth and Government within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
  • Hires, trains and supervises staff and volunteers.  
  • Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information.
  • Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
  • Provides data and reports as required for assigned programs.
  • Assist with Program Committee meetings.
  • Team Player in YMCA special task force teams, special events and YMCA fundraising. 
Educational Background: 
A bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • One to two years related experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in YMCA or similar organization in programming leadership.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft computer programs including and Excel, Word, Outlook as well as database programs. 
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00
