Develops, organizes and implements all youth sports, adult sports and the RhodySquash program.
Areas of Responsibility:
Rhody Squash Program:
- Oversee implementation of the three program goals, including student programming of squash coaching, tutoring, volunteer activities for students, transportation and assistance SSAT tutoring with opportunities for high school applications.
- Coordinate with Squash Coach, tournaments, scrimmages, Calendar and logistics.
- Coordinate with Tutor, Parent Liaison (emails, phone calls and meetings).
- Coordinate with Marketing Director for communications and marketing, update website and create email blasts, Facebook etc.
- Maintain key community partnerships with school(s), community service sites, practice facility, volunteers.
- Organize quarterly Board of Advisors meetings. Collaborate with members in active participation of program goals, develop strategic plans for RhodySquash.
- It is important to easily build rapport with disadvantaged kids. Self-disciplined, pro-active, “self-starter”. Positive, energetic with can-do attitude.
Athletics Programs:
- Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives. Expands all sports program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
- Secures and schedules athletic fields and facilities. Transports and sets up equipment for games and practices; monitors and purchases necessary sporting equipment as budget permits.
- Creates teams for the YMCA sports programs from paid and financially assisted registrations. Organizes and conducts parent orientation meetings, and training and meetings for coaches.
- Develops and distributes team practice and game schedules for the YMCA sports programs; trains and schedules sports officials; develops and distributes sports rules, guidelines and handbooks.
- Purchases and distributes team uniforms and awards; coordinates and distributes
- team photographs.
- Organizes and hosts season parties and events, promoting healthy eating and good nutrition.
- Organizes and conducts sports clinics.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
- One to two years related experience preferred.
- Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: completion of: Child Abuse Prevention; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens; YMCA 101
- Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.

Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $36,000.00 - $40,000.00
