The Family Programs Director manages all aspects of assigned programs. Responsible for budgeting, marketing, and leadership of staff in all family programs. This includes child care, summer/holiday camp, special events and youth activities. Starting annual salary is $32,000 to $36,000.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs staff and volunteers.
- Establishes new program activities and expands programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
- Assists in the marketing of assigned programs and distribution of program information.
- Organizes and schedules program registrations.
- Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
- Assists in fund raising activities and special events.
- Compiles program statistics - monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of assigned programs.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills/Experience:
- Ability to work well with children and parents
- Previous management and child care experience, preferably in a YMCA or other non-profit agency
- Excellent communication skills and creativity
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with other community organizations
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
