Oversees the total operation of the Ric Nuber YMCA and the Sweeney YMCA. The Ric Nuber YMCA is a full service branch in East Memphis, TN. The Sweeney YMCA is a fitness center branch in partnership with a local hospital. A combined budget responsibility of $2.25m including 7 full-time professional staff and an active board of engaged volunteers. The Nuber YMCA/Sweeney YMCA serve over 2,900 membership Units. The 2019 Annual Campaign goal for the both branches is a combined $95,000. Facility includes a year round outdoor pool covered by a dome in the winter, large wellness and group exercise a studio and cycle studio. The Nuber YMCA serves 5 swim teams with over 400 swimmers including partnerships with two local high schools.
- Coordinates the development of the Branch Board. Directs the volunteer activities (policy and program) of the branch.
- Leads the financial development activities of the branch including the Annual Campaign.
- Represent and promote the Y in the local community while developing positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
- Oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of staff.
- Develops, manages, and monitors the branch operating budget and meet or exceeds budget targets.
- Directs strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the branch.
- Develops and directs high quality member engagement strategies and programs which support branch and Association mission, goals, and strategies.
- Ensures the safety and maintenance of high-quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Directs branch marketing and communication efforts.
- Serves as a member of the Y Senior Management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South.
- Five or more years of successful management experience in the Y.
- Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
- Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders to branch board.
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations, municipalities, and corporate partners.
- Y Multi-Team or Organizational Leader preferred.
Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
