We are seeking a motivated leader who is ready to take the Sweeney YMCA to the next level.  Through innovation, creativity, personality and energy, this position will influence the image, mission and growth of the Sweeney YMCA at Saint Francis Hospital - Memphis.  The Sweeney YMCA Membership Director is responsible for the day to day branch operations and supervision of staff; as well as, directs membership promotions and sales, member engagement and retention, marketing activities and branch communications.  This position will have a primary focus of driving membership growth through strategies targeted to the senior community and hospital employees.  

 

Areas of Responsibility: 

1.   Oversees day-to-day operations of the branch and provide leadership to branch staff.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->3.   <!--[endif]-->Utilizes branch metrics to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->4.   <!--[endif]-->Develops and maintains strategic collaborative relationships with community agencies that promote membership growth.  Represents and promotes the Y in the local community with a focus of strengthening partnership with St. Francis Hospital.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->5.   <!--[endif]-->Develops, manages, and monitors branch operating budget to meet or exceed targets.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->6.   <!--[endif]-->Develops and directs high quality member engagement strategies and programs that support branch and association mission and goals.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->7.   <!--[endif]-->Supports philanthropy and Annual Campaign as branch lead.  Meet and/or exceed campaign goal.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->8.   <!--[endif]-->Serves as a member of YMCA management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.

Skills/Experience: 

1.   Degree in business, marketing, related field, or equivalent.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->2.   <!--[endif]-->Minimum two years’ experience in customer service, management and/or sales.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->3.   <!--[endif]-->Ability to manage operations including supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, volunteer development, and program development. 

<!--[if !supportLists]-->4.   <!--[endif]-->Strong communication and project management skills.  Ability to effectively multi-task, work independently and problem solve.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->5.   <!--[endif]-->Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->6.   <!--[endif]-->Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations.
