The Program and Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of supporting the before and after school age child care programs, as well as holiday/vacation camp days. Primary responsibilities include supporting program and staff development, staff relations, risk management, customer and community relations, licensing and professional accreditation, staff hiring, and marketing. The Program and Curriculum Coordinator is also responsible for administering, monitoring, and refining the curriculum at current SACC sites, along with budget development.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop, adjust and refine curriculum and program standards for all SACC sites in the contracted school districts.
- Ensure program and curriculum standards are being met at all sites, and provide support, coaching, and feedback as needed. Fidelity to the program and curriculum standards is critical.
- Support in supervising and administering all aspects of the SACC programs in the contracted school districts, including staff recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, supervision and evaluation; enrollment registration; community and parent relations; marketing; and budget planning and management.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Site Supervisors, Assistants, Counselors, Substitutes, and Volunteer staff as it relates to the delivery of the program.
- Conduct performance reviews and evaluate staff performance, and develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
- Ensure program compliance with Division of Child Protection and Permanency, and oversee issuance of child care licenses in all programs.
- Maintain close working relationships with school superintendents, principals, and administrators.
- Assist in developing and controlling all aspects of the School’s Out budget and work within the organization’s guidelines.
- Assist with fund raising activities and special events.
- Maintain and expand training skills and credentials for the benefit of the organization as a whole, the School’s Out Program, and the YMCA Movement.
- Cross-support other departments as needed: Day Camp, Resident Camp, Group Services, Facilities, Food Service, etc.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
- One to two years related experience preferred.
- Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: ChildAbuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Blood borne Pathogens.
- Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications (Team Leader Certification within first four years).
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $32,600.00 - $40,735.00
