The YMCA of Downtown Manchester has an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with strong leadership skills to head a growing 5-site school-age child care operation.
Successful candidate will have experience in leading high quality/creative programs, maintaining positive child/family/community relations, managing resources effectively and maintaining strong licensing compliance. Areas of Responsibility:
- The School Age Child Care Director will be responsible for the administration of the School Age Before and After School Program (SOP) and the coordination/implementation of the School Vacation Camps, full day and snow day programs and state licensed summer camp program for the YMCA of Downtown Manchester.
- The School Age Child Care Director will be responsible for managing enrollment, rosters, staff supervision, and overseeing operations of the programs at each site.
- The Director will also be responsible for staff training, state compliance, program and staff evaluations, curriculum development, program supplies as well as other operational functions.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child Care or related field,
Skills/Experience:
- 2-3 years supervisory experience and 3 years of child care experience.
- Candidate must possess strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form, strong organizational skills, knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A valid driver’s license, Current First Aid and CPR Certifications are also requirements of this position.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00
