The Granite YMCA Allard Center in Goffstown, NH is currently seeking a full-time Preschool/Progressive Gymnastics Coordinator. This successful candidate will represent the YMCA as a team leader in gymnastics, teach in our preschool and progressive program, work with our gymnastics team, and serve as our gymnastics summer day camp director.  The primary responsibility is to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable gymnastics class, team and camp experience to participants of various ages.  Gymnastics instruction will be based on the YUSA-Gymnastics Progressive Program.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Maintain a safe environment; responsible for the supervision of their students within the class structure.
  • Effectively teach YUSA gymnastics skills with age appropriate safety and properly using demonstrations and equipment.
  • Intentionally communicate with parents/participants regarding the progress of the gymnast.
  • Gymnastics center setup and clean up as required, before and after classes. 
  • Write lesson plans to make classes run smoothly and ensure that each child has the opportunity for advancement. 
  • Provide suggestions/recommendations for developing and growing the gymnastics and dance programs.
  • Assist with gymnastics team coaching
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
  • Seek professional development in the area of discipline and as a YMCA professional
  • Assist in coordinating meets and exhibitions
  • Responsible for the design, monitoring and reporting of statistical and budget information for gymnastics summer camp
  • Plan gymnastics camp program and daily schedules
  • Help hire, supervise and train gymnastics staff
  • Hire, supervise and train gymnastics camp staff
  • Attend and complete all prerequisites for the annual camp and program summit held in the fall and early spring.
  • Assist with coordination and scheduling of birthday parties, rentals and special events
  • Assist in the raising of funds for our annual Reach Out For Youth Campaign
  • Ensure that participants are having fun!
Skills/Experience: 
  • Five years of gymnastics teaching and coaching experience, ability to effectively communicate with parents and staff; leadership skills; ability to give and receive appropriate feedback; good interpersonal skills; ability to take initiative to help classes run smoothly and effectively. 
  • Proficient use of tablets and computers, including Microsoft Windows and Office.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly: $18.00 - $21.00
