This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced executive to lead the Los Angeles YMCA's newest facility along with one of the associations most dedicated board and staff teams. The Collins & Katz Family YMCA, formerly the Westside Family YMCA, has a proud history of raising substantial contributed support annually through the efforts of an incredibly strong board and over 100 annual campaign volunteers.  This branch has a reputation for community engagement, and is known for fostering collaborations with other community partners and agencies.  Branch oversight includes directing the efforts of 112 dedicated staff members and providing expert execution of Los Angeles YMCA programming through programs and membership options designed to foster healthy living, youth development and social responsibility.  

This is an opportunity to demonstrate your fiscal management, financial development and strategic planning skills to operate a 70,000 square foot facility. The Collins & Katz Family YMCA serves 12,000 facility and program participants, has an operating budget of $6 million and has contributed revenue from annual campaign of over $640,000.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent
Skills/Experience: 
  • Six (6) or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA branch executive role or similar nonprofit agency
  • Proven success in leading fundraising efforts, including leading annual campaigns and securing major gifts.
  • Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development  
  • Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
  • Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations
  • YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred
  • Understanding, support, and adherence to the YMCA mission and vision of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00
