The LA area is home to the second largest YMCA Association in the US, with 26 branches, 2 camps and over 50 child care sites. The LA Y is a highly-collaborative, rewarding and fun environment where you will discover your passions, grow your career and make an impact!

We believe in the four Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and understand that our staff are our biggest asset! We strive to create high-performing, strong teams in each of our branches and are looking for passionate and enthusiastic staff who will help us to strengthen our impact, empower our community and deliver incredible programming!

This ethnically diverse branch is conveniently located midway between downtown Los Angeles and Orange County.  The community is a quick ride away from Dodger Stadium, Staples Center and the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. As an added bonus, the Southern California mountain ranges and the Pacific Ocean are just a few miles away. Carson's near-coastal location provides for an ideal climate year-round.

This is an opportunity to hone your fiscal management and financial development skills by managing a growing operating budget that stands debt-free and derives 12% of its total from fundraising revenue. You will supervise and develop a 7 member management team, 3 additional part-time/regular (benefited) and 58 part-time staff members.  There is no limit to the potential for program development, including those that promote healthy living, keep kids safe after school and build character through experiences in camping and youth sports.

The Gardena-Carson YMCA serves 2,100 household memberships. The branch subsidizes about 30% of its membership enrollment. Additionally, the Gardena-Carson Family YMCA has strong board ownership and excellent community involvement (Chamber, Rotary, Y's Men, etc.). The annual support campaign goal for 2019 is $230,000, including an annual golf tournament that is budgeted to raise $70,000.  With your Board and financial development expertise, we know that we can take Gardena-Carson even further!
