he Coordinator, Talent & Partnerships will be a critical member of the Teach For America –team, enabling our organization to continue to fuel the leadership source for our school and district partners.
 
As the Coordinator, Talent & Partnerships, you are responsible for maximizing the outcomes and efficiencies of our alumni and corps member hiring cycle. In partnership with the Managing Director, Talent & Partnerships, this includes coordinating and executing the interview and hiring process for all incoming corps members toward a fully-hired corps before the first day of school, coordinating more than 70 school and district partner relationships toward this outcome, coaching corps members to success in all hiring-related processes and requirements, and ensuring that our staff team is working together and with great preparation and leadership toward these goals. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the Managing Director, Talent & Partnerships and Vice President, Corps Member & Alumni Impact where needed. Areas of Responsibility: 

Corps Member & Alumni Facing Hiring Operations (35%)

  • Support for all aspects of the regional hiring campaign toward 100% hired by first day of school
  • Design and execute hiring systems and structures while course-correcting in a timely-manner as needed
  • Build strong relationships with incoming corps members with a particular focus on their professional growth as candidates for opportunities at our schools.
  • Engaging in rigorous feedback conversations with an eye on improving interview skills
  • Overseeing our LAUSD District Cohort HR process ensuring 100% of CMs in the cohort are hire ready
  • Event planning for incoming corps member cultivation/retention

  Partner Facing Hiring Operations (35%)

  • Maintain excellent relationships and timely communication with hiring school leaders/staff and other partners
  • Manage knowledge of partner hiring needs, preferences, and requirements
  • Supporting the MD, Talent & Partnerships in communication with school partner HR leads
  • Accurately track all progress and record activity using Placement Tracker tool and supplemental systems including but not limited to Placement Fund tool
  • Assemble school and principal outreach materials
  • Planning hiring events and executing on logistics to support these critical program components, ensure goals are met and experience is good for partners and corps members 
  • Manage number of partner facing processes including the collection of corps members’ verification of employment forms, school contracting (professional service agreements) and coordinating of partner invoicing process
  • Track new hire & onboarding process with school partners

  Seasonal/Special Projects (10%)

  • Support MD, Talent & Partnerships with planning and execution our annual Partner Open House Event
  • Support all regional/cross-functional initiatives as needed

  Administrative & Ongoing Cross Functional Support (20%)

  • Responsible for assisting with Expense Reports and scheduling meetings/calls with team members and external stakeholders. Specifically assisting our VP of Corps Members and Alumni Impact and MD of Talent & Partnerships with expense reports
  • Participate in phone interviews and/or in-person interviews with corps member applicants for up to three days each selection window (about 6-10 days total throughout the year depending on your role)
  • Matriculate new Los Angeles corps members during 4-5 confirmation windows throughout the year
  • Participate in large-scale regional events
  • Assume a proactive role in increasing the efficiency and organization of the team  including logistics for team meetings
  • Participate in events within and outside of your sub-team, such as regional retreats and diversity and inclusiveness programming
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required
Skills/Experience: 

Prior Experience

  • At least two years of experience
  • Corps member or teaching experience preferred

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience.
