The Trainings and Mobilisation Coordinator will support with the delivery of three key training events and mobilisations between August and October 2019. This includes logistics, recruitment and promotion as well as some facilitation and content design.
Areas of Responsibility:
Events and Trainings
- Coordinating logistics and supporting recruitment for the 2019 Fossil Free Gathering in October, working with our partners in the Local Government Network. This includes identifying and booking venues, arranging catering and communicating with participants.
- Recruiting and coordinating logistics for a creative action training on fossil fuel finance in London in September.
- Assisting with delivery of 20th September mobilisations by supporting local groups to participate, and providing support with logistics work and partner coordination.
- Assisting with content design and delivery for the September training event
- Ensure all events and trainings organised in this period centre accessibility.
- Work with UK Team Lead to make trainings and events inclusive.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience of coordinating events logistics for up to 200 people.
- Experience of coordinating recruitment and promotion of events and trainings
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on budget and within deadlines
- A proven commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and applying this to your work.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT ESSENTIAL)
- Experience of session design for campaign events or training.
- Facilitation skills
- Some experience of designing, delivering or participating in creative direct action.
- Some experience of campaigning on climate justice and related issues.
- Experience of evaluating events and trainings.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary Grade: GBP 2,945 per month pro rata
