Manage small molecule compounds of CFFT Lab.  Maintain a well-documented and organized database of compounds stored at the Lab. Specifically, the candidate will maintain, store, and distribute compounds to research scientists in hit validation and hit to lead campaigns, organize small molecule assets of CFFT Lab, and interact with external partners for compound requests and project support. Support the experimental needs of the team in areas that may include cell culture, western blot, and elisa assays.

*Training will be provided for qualified candidates without prior compound management experience.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Perform laboratory experiments using standard techniques and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Control of experimental activities.
  • Performs related lab maintenance such as maintaining and cleaning equipment and ordering supplies.
  • Performs calculations to complete research test results; collates data; and performs analysis of lab results for discussion with supervisor.
  • Maintain detailed records of the work carried out (electronic lab notebook).
  • Collates results in preparation for internal meetings.
Educational Background: 
B.S. in Life Sciences (or related study) with 0-2 years R+D lab experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic team. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Commute to lab every workday - Must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Occasional weekend work in the lab.
  • Annual/Biannual travel to scientific or technology-focused meetings as necessary.
  • Sitting, bending, reaching, and walking.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (not to exceed 30 lbs.) for set-up of lab equipment.
