Provides the overall strategic direction for the core services of the YMCA of Central Kentucky for membership and programs.  Provides supervision of the branches of the YMCA and works diligently in the community for new business developments and collaborations.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provides strategic direction and leadership to core services of Membership Growth and Development.  Serves as primary lead for membership revenue growth and retention strategies focused around customer service, and engagement strategies.
  • Provides strategic direction and leadership to core services of Program Growth and Development.  Serves as primary lead for the program revenue growth strategies focused around strong program retention, new program initiatives focused around healthy living aquatics, sports and youth and teen programs.   In addition provides leadership for program innovation and process improvement plans.
  • Provides leadership for community relationships focused around new business developments and collaborations.  Will be able to communicate and establish strong ties with partners with goals that align the Y for association growth.
  • Supervise and assume primary responsibility for the general direction of all branch operations.  Supervise Branch Directors r through regularly scheduled conferences, performance evaluations and branch visits and branch board meetings.
  • Responsible for the fiscal performance of all branch operating budgets.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in human services, business, social services or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Eight (8) or more years of professional experience in the YMCA or another nonprofit preferred; demonstrated executive, administrative, managerial and multi-unit YMCA experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in all aspects of operations, including staff supervision and development, successful membership practices, quality program development and implementation, volunteerism, facility and property management and sound financial practices.
  • Understanding of the nature and purpose of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community; track record of building authentic, constructive relationships with others.
  • YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred.
