Our Gymnastics Director is responsible for directing all aspects of the Countryside YMCA Gymnastics Program including instructional programs and the gymnastics team.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Essential functions of this position require excellent communication skills, personal organization, extensive knowledge of gymnastic skills and techniques. Establishes and maintains relationships and open communications with gymnasts and parents; creates a positive, team-oriented atmosphere where gymnasts learn the values of the YMCA.

Educational Background: 
High School diploma; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Program administration, management and supervisory experience
  • Commitment to the YMCA mission, vision and values
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching progressive gymnastic programs
  • Minimum 3 years teaching/coaching competitive gymnastics
  • Levels 3 – 6 required
  • Levels 7-9 preferred
  • Experience facilitating recreational and competitive gymnastic meets/competitions
  • Preferred USAG certifications:
  • U100 Fundamentals of Gymnastic Instructor
  • U101 Safety and Risk Management
  • U110 Safe Sport
  • W200 Development coaches course; Hands-on Training
  • CPR; Basic Life Support certification & Basic First Aid certification
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $35,000.00
